Funny Apple with The Importance of Apples in Children's Daily Diets

Red, round, sweet, delicious and very healthy apples are a great snack or addition to any meal. We all know the old saying "An apple a day will keep the doctor away". Do we really understand why that saying exists though? Do you know why or how apples make the body healthy? Read on to learn more.
Like Garlic, asparagus, and cranberries, apples are actually considered an herb as well as a fruit. No, children should not be treated with herbs. Do not use apples to treat any health conditions your children have. Call the doctor or pediatrician if your child is sick.

However, apples are very safe to give to children, as are Garlic and cranberries, the other foods we eat often that simply classify as herbs. How can such common foods classify as herbs? The answer is simple. They possess healing properties and can prevent several types of ailments.

An apple a day really will keep the doctor away. It is very important to feed your children four to six servings of fruits per day as it is, and apples can help to fill up those requirements. Kids can safely snack on an apple two or three times a day. Really though, only one good sized one is necessary to produce the health benefits apples offer for your child.

Just what are those health benefits that apples produce that make them so important to include in your child's daily diet? Hmmm. Well, first of all apples are natural blood sugar balancers. They can help to prevent and treat diabetes. If your child's blood sugar rises a bit or falls a bit (within a healthy, safe range) than an apple will help to bring the balance back to it. No more sugar highs!

Also, if your child is slightly to moderately constipated an apple will help to loosen things up a bit. If your child is severely constipated a call to the doctor is required. Apples can be used to prevent children being constipated by too much cheese or pasta. They can be eaten daily to keep the bowels moving along as they should. See, as aids and for prevention apples are great!

Now this is neat. Apples can also do the exact opposite. When your child has runny stools apples can bulk stools up! Otherwise known as diarrhea, loose or runny stools are often caused not by illness but by processed foods and too much juice, in which case apples can help! Actually, apples can help with the loose stools caused by illness too, but you need to call the doctor if your child is ill, not use home remedies. Otherwise apples can treat diarrhea. Did you know they can prevent it too? Oh yes. An apple or two a day will keep diarrhea away!

What else can apples do? Fill up a little tummy that's what! They are so tasty that they are eaten right up. Kids are happy when their bellies are full so on top of all the health benefits apples offer your children when they eat them another can be added. Apples make your kids happy and full. This is a benefit for not only them, but for you too! Offer you child the healthy option of an apple next snack time. Reap all the healthy rewards and have some peace and quiet for yourself too!
